Today we mourn the loss of our dear friend and mentor, Olympia Dukakis.
A star of stage and screen, Olympia’s impact on the world of entertainment and our world here at Hero was immense and profound.
A close friend of our Artistic Director, Elisa Bocanegra, Olympia inspired the founding of Hero Theatre in deep discussions with Elisa as they waited backstage during Roundabout’s production of The Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore.
Hero Theatre exists because of her wise counsel and astute advice.
