In "RISE: An Immersive Exploration of Gun Violence in Schools" audiences become part of a school lockdown. This fictional account, inspired by true events, explores themes related to gun violence in schools. Presented in an actual school, RISE gives a candid look at what youth in America face today.
RISE is presented by HERO Ignite, a new division at HERO Theatre, that serves as an incubator for new works inspired by stories of young people in America today.

Tickets to all performances except previews are $35; tickets to previews are $30.
**Warning: The show contains themes and depictions of suicide, the loss of a love one, and violence that has extreme sound effects. Therefore, the recommended age for RISE is for ages 13+. In addition, this 75-minute show is a standing-only experience. At each performance, a different actor will be secretly selected to portray a school shooter. If you are attending on a two show day, each showing is guaranteed to be different.
A portion of the box office proceeds will benefit the families of victims and survivors of mass shootings via the League of United Latino Citizens' Victims Fund and March for Our Lives.
Mask Policy
Although the indoor mask mandate has been eased in Los Angeles County, HERO Theatre will require all guests to remain masked, regardless of vaccination status. Masks must be worn over the mouth and nose at all times. Masks will be mandatory at all times inside the venue.
Only these types of masks may be worn: medical/surgical masks, N95, KN95, or KF94. Unacceptable masks include: cloth, neck gaiters, bandanas, and masks with vents. Medical/surgical masks will be provided to patrons if needed.
We will not be social distancing audiences inside of the venue.
